Videary is an offline-first journal. Your text entries, voice notes, video clips, images, moods, favorites, and dates are stored only in the app's local storage on your device.
Videary does not transmit your journal content to any server.
Videary requires no account, no login, and no email address. There is no cloud sync and no backup of your entries on our servers. Your archive belongs entirely to you and remains on your device.
Your data remains on your device until you delete it or clear the app's data. Videary has no servers and holds no copies of your entries anywhere.
Deleting the app or clearing its data erases your entries permanently. They cannot be recovered.
Videary may ask for access to your device's camera, microphone, and photo library. These permissions are used solely to let you capture image, audio, and video entries inside the app. Permissions are requested only when a feature needs them, and declining a permission simply disables that feature. Your media stays on your device.
Videary's app lock uses a 4-digit local PIN that you create. Your PIN is stored hashed in the platform's Secure Storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). Videary cannot read or recover your PIN. If you forget your PIN, it cannot be recovered and you may lose access to your entries.
Your journal files (text, images, audio, and video) are stored locally and are NOT encrypted in this version. The app lock restricts access to the app, but it does not encrypt your files. Please consider device-level security — such as setting a device passcode — and keeping your own backups.
Videary is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process certain device data — including the device advertising identifier — as well as device information and your IP address, and may use cookies or similar software, to deliver and measure ads.
Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on the consent choices you make. In the EEA/UK, Videary uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent for personalized advertising before any such ads are shown, in accordance with GDPR requirements. Your choices are respected and can be updated at any time. For full details on how Google processes data, see policies.google.com/privacy.
Advertising services (Google AdMob) may process certain device identifiers outside your country of residence, in accordance with Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Videary does not collect crash reports, analytics, or usage tracking, and we do not use third-party analytics SDKs. Third-party SDKs used for advertising and in-app purchases (such as AdMob and the Apple and Google store frameworks) may collect their own data under their own policies.
In the EEA/UK, consent for personalized advertising is requested through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), and you can change your choices at any time in the app's consent flow. You can choose between personalized and non-personalized ads.
You can also opt out of personalized advertising at the operating-system level — for example, Limit Ad Tracking or Reset Advertising Identifier on iOS, and opting out of ads personalization on Android — and via Google Ads Settings and AdChoices.
You can delete all of your data at any time by deleting the app. Videary keeps no copies, so deleting the app removes all of your entries permanently.
Premium subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment processing, billing, and transaction records are handled entirely by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies.
Videary itself only stores a local flag on your device indicating whether Premium is active. The lifetime purchase unlocks Premium permanently on the device where it was purchased, in accordance with store policies. No payment or billing information is collected by Videary.
Videary processes very little of your data — most of it never leaves your device, and advertising-related data is processed by Google. Where data-protection law applies, you may exercise rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent by contacting us at support@videary.barisdev.tech.
You can manage ad-related choices through Google's Ads Settings, and you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — for example, the KVKK in Turkey or your local data protection authority.
Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar age requirements, Videary is not directed at children under 13 and is not intended for use by children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes will be highlighted.
