Videary Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 2026
Data stored locally on device
Videary is an offline-first journal. Your text entries, voice notes, video clips, images, moods, favorites, and dates are stored only in the app's local storage on your device.
Videary does not transmit your journal content to any server.
No account, no cloud
Videary requires no account, no login, and no email address. There is no cloud sync and no backup of your entries on our servers. Your archive belongs entirely to you and remains on your device.
Advertising
Videary is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process certain device data — including the device advertising identifier — to deliver ads and measure ad performance.
Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on the consent choices you make. In the EEA/UK, Videary uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent for personalized advertising before any such ads are shown, in accordance with GDPR requirements. Your choices are respected and can be updated at any time.
Purchases
Premium subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment processing, billing, and transaction records are handled entirely by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies.
Videary itself only stores a local flag on your device indicating whether Premium is active. No payment or billing information is collected by Videary.
App lock
If you enable the app lock, your PIN is stored in the platform's Secure Storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android). Biometric unlock uses the device's built-in Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint authentication. Videary cannot read or recover your PIN.
